Crab & Shrimp Seafood Bisque π¦π€
Delight in this rich and creamy seafood bisque!
π Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1/2 cup Onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup Celery, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup Carrot, finely chopped
- 2 Garlic Cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp Tomato Paste
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper (optional)
- Salt & Black Pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 4 cups Seafood or Chicken Broth
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1/2 lb Cooked Crab Meat (shells removed)
- 1/2 lb Cooked Shrimp (peeled & chopped)
- 2 tbsp Sherry (optional)
- Fresh Herbs (Parsley, Chives, or Dill)
π Instructions
1οΈβ£ SauteΜ veggies β Heat olive oil in a pot, cook onion, celery, and carrot for 5 min. 2οΈβ£ Add garlic & spices β Stir in garlic, tomato paste, paprika, cayenne, salt & pepper. Cook 2 min. 3οΈβ£ Make roux β Sprinkle flour, stir, and cook for 1 min. 4οΈβ£ Add broth β Slowly mix in broth, stirring constantly. Simmer for 10 min. 5οΈβ£ Blend bisque β Puree with an immersion blender until smooth. 6οΈβ£ Add cream β Stir in heavy cream, simmer gently for 10 min (donβt boil). 7οΈβ£ Add seafood β Fold in crab, shrimp, and sherry. Simmer for 5 min. 8οΈβ£ Season & serve β Adjust seasoning, garnish with fresh herbs, and enjoy hot!
