Nestlé Toll House Death by Chocolate Cake 🍫🍰
Ingredients:
🍫 1 box Devil’s Food cake mix
🍫 1 box (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
🥚 5 eggs
🍦 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
🛢️ 3/4 cup vegetable oil
🥛 1 cup sour cream or buttermilk
☕ 3/4 cup brewed coffee (cooled)
🍪 2 cups Nestlé Toll House chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat & Prepare:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a cake pan and set aside.
Mix the Batter:
In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients (cake mix and pudding mix).
In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, vanilla, oil, sour cream (or buttermilk), and coffee until smooth.
Gradually combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, mixing until well incorporated.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Bake:
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
Bake for approximately 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool for about 10 minutes before transferring to a serving plate.
Decadent Ganache Frosting
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons salted butter
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
½ bag (about 1 cup) powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons milk
½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Ganache:
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
Stir in the cocoa powder, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
Mix in the walnuts if using.
Frost the Cake:
Pour the warm ganache over the cake, spreading it evenly.
Serve immediately for a gooey, indulgent treat or reheat slices in the microwave before serving.
