Ingredients:
For the Cake:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 ½ cups granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
For the Cinnamon Swirl:
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter to create the swirl.
Drop spoonfuls of the cinnamon mixture over the batter, then use a knife to swirl it throughout the cake.
Bake for 28–32 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool slightly before serving. Optional: drizzle with a simple glaze of powdered sugar and milk for an extra touch.
