Surf & Turf Ribeye with Garlic Cream Sauce 🥩🦐
When steak meets shrimp, magic happens on the plate!
📝 Ingredients:
For the Steak:
2 ribeye steaks
Salt & pepper to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 garlic cloves, smashed
1 sprig rosemary or thyme (optional)
For the Shrimp:*
12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt & pepper to taste
1 tsp smoked paprika
For the Garlic Cream Sauce:
2 tbsp butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
Salt & pepper to taste
Chopped parsley for garnish
🍽️ Directions:
1️⃣ Cook the Steak:
Season steaks with salt and pepper. Sear in a hot skillet with olive oil 3–4 minutes per side (for medium rare). Add butter, garlic, and herbs, basting for extra flavor. Remove and rest.
2️⃣ Sauté the Shrimp:
In the same skillet, heat olive oil. Add shrimp, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and curled. Set aside.
3️⃣ Make the Cream Sauce:
Melt butter in the skillet. Sauté garlic until fragrant, then add cream, Dijon mustard, and Parmesan. Simmer until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
4️⃣ Assemble the Surf & Turf:
Place steak on plate, top with sautéed shrimp, and spoon over garlic cream sauce.
5️⃣ Finish with Garnish:
Sprinkle chopped parsley on top and serve immediately.
