Bacon Wrapped Chicken Tenders
Ingredients:
1 ½ pounds chicken tenders (about 10 pieces)
10 slices thick-cut bacon
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon chili powder (optional for spice)
2 tablespoons maple syrup (optional, for glaze)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, and chili powder.
Wrap each chicken tender with one slice of bacon, slightly overlapping the edges. Secure the ends with a toothpick if needed.
Sprinkle the brown sugar mixture evenly over the wrapped chicken tenders, pressing gently to adhere.
Place the bacon-wrapped tenders on the wire rack, making sure they are not touching.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the chicken is cooked through (internal temp of 165°F).
Optional glaze: Brush with maple syrup in the last 5 minutes
