🇫🇷 Classic Pissaladière (Provençal Onion Tart) 🧅 A savory slice of southern France—sweet caramelized onions, briny olives, and anchovies on rustic dough.
Ingredients:
• 250g bread dough
• 500g onions
• 10 anchovy fillets
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 1 tsp thyme
• Salt and pepper to taste
• Black olives (Niçoise preferred)
Instructions:
1️⃣ Thinly slice onions and cook slowly in olive oil until deeply caramelized (30–40 minutes).
2️⃣ Roll out bread dough and place on baking sheet.
3️⃣ Spread caramelized onions over the dough, then arrange anchovies and olives on top.
4️⃣ Sprinkle with thyme, bake at 200°C (400°F) for 20–25 minutes. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
