How to Make the Perfect Omelette
Ingredients:
3 large eggs
1 tbsp butter
Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional fillings: cheese, mushrooms, spinach, ham, herbs, etc.
Instructions:
Prepare the Eggs: Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk them until fully combined. Season with salt and pepper.
Heat the Pan: Place a non-stick frying pan over medium heat and add the butter. Let it melt, swirling the pan to coat the bottom evenly.
Cook the Eggs: Pour the whisked eggs into the pan, swirling gently to ensure the eggs cover the base. Let them cook for 1-2 minutes without stirring, allowing the edges to set while the center remains slightly runny.
Add Fillings: Once the edges begin to set, add your desired fillings to one half of the omelette.
Fold the Omelette: Using a spatula, carefully lift the edges of the omelette and fold it over the fillings. Let it cook for another 30 seconds to 1 minute, depending on how runny or firm you prefer the inside.
Serve: Slide the omelette onto a plate and serve immediately, garnished with herbs if desired.
