HERSHEY'S HOLIDAY FAVORITES
This recipe is easy to make, but looks fancy. 🍐
Pears with Chocolate Orange Sauce
6 fresh pears
1 1/2 cups apple juice
1 tsp. vanilla
Slice piece off bottom of pear to make flat base. peel pears and core from bottom, but leave stems.
Combine juice with vanilla in a saucepan, add pears base side down. Heat to boiling, reduce heat. Cover, and simmer spooning juice over pears occasionally. 20-25 minutes or until pears are tender.
Prepare chocolate sauce
Chocolate Orange Sauce
3/4 cup Hershey's special dark chocolate chips, or semi-sweet ot milk chocolate chips
1 Tablespoon shortening, do not use butter or margarine
1/4 tsp. orange extract
Place all ingredients in a saucepan over low-medium heat, stirring continuously until melted and smooth, remove from heat. Serve over prepared pears.
