Asian-Style Ground Beef Spaghetti

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons oil
½ lb ground beef
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon grated ginger
2 teaspoons white pepper powder (adjust to taste)
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons spring onion, chopped
4 oz vermicelli (adjust for two servings)
2 tablespoons Chinese dark vinegar (optional)
2 tablespoons Chinese chili oil (optional)
Directions:

Boil a pot of water and cook the vermicelli according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat.
Add ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks until browned.
Stir in soy sauce, grated ginger, white pepper powder, and cornstarch, mixing well to evenly coat the beef.
Simmer the beef mixture for about 5 minutes to blend the flavors.
Add the cooked vermicelli to the skillet, tossing it with the beef mixture until thoroughly combined.
Stir in chopped spring onion. Add Chinese dark vinegar and chili oil if desired for additional flavor.
Serve hot, garnished with extra spring onions if desired.
