Easy Fish & Chips 🐟🍟🍋

Ingredients:
For the Fish:
1 lb white fish fillets (cod, haddock, or tilapia)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon paprika
¾ cup cold sparkling water (or cold beer for extra crispiness)
Vegetable oil (for frying)
For the Chips (Fries):
2 large russet potatoes, cut into fries
2 tablespoons olive oil
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Chips (Fries):
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Toss potato fries with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
Spread on a baking sheet and bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
(Shortcut: Use frozen fries and air-fry or bake according to package instructions!)

2. Make the Batter & Fry the Fish:
Heat 2 inches of oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, and paprika.
Whisk in cold sparkling water (or beer) until smooth.
Dip fish fillets into the batter, letting excess drip off.
Carefully fry for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
3. Serve & Enjoy!
Serve fish with crispy fries, lemon wedges, and tartar sauce.
