Melt-in-your-mouth Apple Caramel Bombs
Ingredients:
- 2 large apples, peeled and diced
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup crushed graham crackers
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a mixing bowl, toss diced apples with lemon juice, ground cinnamon, and salt.
3. In a separate bowl, combine crushed graham crackers, chopped pecans, and melted butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
4. Press half of the graham cracker mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased muffin tin to form a crust.
5. Spoon a layer of diced apples over the crust evenly.
6. Drizzle caramel sauce over the apple layer.
7. Top with the remaining graham cracker mixture, pressing lightly.
8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the tops are golden and the apples are tender.
9. Allow to cool slightly before removing from the muffin tin. Serve warm for the best melt-in-your-mouth experience.
