Chicken Pot Pie Bake
Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked chicken, diced
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 sheet puff pastry or pie crust
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Make the Filling: In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, mixed vegetables, cream of chicken soup, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well until everything is combined.
3. Prepare Baking Dish: Pour the filling mixture into an oven-safe baking dish, spreading it evenly.
4. Add the Crust: Roll out the puff pastry or pie crust and gently place it over the chicken mixture. Trim any excess and crimp the edges to seal. Cut a few slits on top to allow steam to escape.
5. Egg Wash: Brush the beaten egg over the pastry to give it a nice golden color when baked.
6. Bake: Place the dish in the oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
7. Serve: Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your Chicken Pot Pie Bake!
