Easy Cinnamon Rolls with Vanilla Glaze
Ingredients
For the dough:
3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant yeast
1 tsp salt
¾ cup warm milk (110°F)
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 egg
For the filling:
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
¾ cup brown sugar
2 tbsp cinnamon
For the glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp milk
½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Make the Dough
In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
2. Make the Filling
Mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon into a paste.
3. Shape the Rolls
Roll out the dough into a 12x18-inch rectangle. Spread the filling evenly, then roll tightly from the long side. Slice into 12 rolls and place in a greased baking pan. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
4. Bake
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
5. Make the Glaze
Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls.
