8 oz fettuccine or spaghetti
1 lb shrimp (peeled & deveined)
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 cups fresh spinach (optional)
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Cook the Pasta: Boil pasta according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
Sauté the Shrimp: Heat butter and olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt, black pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Make the Sauce: In the same pan, add garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 30 seconds. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring well. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Add Cheese & Spinach: Stir in Parmesan cheese and spinach (if using) until melted and wilted. Add lemon juice for brightness.
Combine Everything: Return shrimp to the pan, add cooked pasta, and toss to coat. If needed, add reserved pasta water for a silkier sauce.
