Honey Butter Sweet Alabama Pecanbread 🍯🍞
Ingredients:
For the Bread:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup toasted pecans, chopped
For the Honey Butter Glaze:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
Prepare the Bread Batter:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter-sugar mixture, alternating with the buttermilk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
Stir in the vanilla extract and chopped toasted pecans.
Bake the Bread:
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Prepare the Honey Butter Glaze:
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Glaze the Bread:
Once the bread has cooled, drizzle the honey butter glaze over the top, allowing it to soak into the bread.
Slice and serve. Enjoy your homemade Honey Butter Sweet Alabama Pecanbread!
