New Orleans Chicken Wings
Ingredients:
2 lbs (900g) chicken wings
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1 tbsp hot sauce
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp melted butter
For Garnish:
Chopped green onions
Ranch or blue cheese dressing (for dipping)
Directions:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
Season the Wings: In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with vegetable oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne, thyme, and oregano until evenly coated.
Bake the Wings: Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.
Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix the hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and melted butter.
Coat the Wings: Once baked, toss the wings in the sauce until well coated.
Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with chopped green onions and serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing on the side.
