Creamy Cajun Shrimp Pasta 🍤🧀
Rich, spicy, and creamy—this pasta is pure comfort!
📝 Ingredients:
1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
12 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 tsp paprika
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 green onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup chicken broth
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, for garnish
🍽️ Directions:
1️⃣ Season and Sauté Shrimp:
Toss shrimp with Cajun seasoning and paprika. Heat olive oil in a pan and cook shrimp on medium-high heat for 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
2️⃣ Cook Pasta:
Boil pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve ¼ cup of pasta water.
3️⃣ Sauté Veggies & Garlic:
In the same pan, sauté red bell pepper, green onion, and garlic for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
4️⃣ Make Creamy Sauce:
Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer. Stir in mozzarella and Parmesan cheese until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
5️⃣ Combine and Serve:
Add pasta, reserved shrimp, and a splash of pasta water to the sauce. Toss well to coat. Garnish with parsley and a bit more melted cheese on top.
