Strawberry Shortcake Candy Apples
Ingredients:
- 6 medium apples, washed and dried
- 2 cups white chocolate chips
- 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed
- 1/2 cup crushed shortcake cookies or graham crackers
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 6 wooden sticks
Directions:
1. Insert wooden sticks into the top of each apple, pushing about halfway through.
2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt white chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
3. Hold each apple by the stick and dip into the melted white chocolate, turning to coat evenly.
4. Allow excess chocolate to drip off, then immediately roll or sprinkle the coated apple with crushed freeze-dried strawberries and crushed shortcake cookies.
5. Place the coated apples on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
6. Lightly dust the tops with powdered sugar for a finishing touch.
7. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until the chocolate sets completely before serving.
