🧀 Cheesy Ham and Cheese Puff Pastry Pockets
Ingredients:
1 sheet puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
1 cup cooked ham, diced
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat Oven:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2️⃣ Prepare the Filling:
In a bowl, mix together diced ham, shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper until well combined.
3️⃣ Roll Out Puff Pastry:
Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut the pastry into 4 equal squares.
4️⃣ Assemble the Pockets:
Spoon a generous amount of the ham and cheese mixture into the center of each pastry square. Fold the pastry over to form a triangle or rectangle, pressing the edges to seal.
5️⃣ Egg Wash:
Brush the tops of the puff pastry pockets with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
6️⃣ Bake:
Place the pockets on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden and puffed up.
7️⃣ Serve:
Allow the pockets to cool slightly before serving. Serve warm.
