Chicken Fried Steak Fingers
Ingredients:
1 lb beef sirloin steak, thinly sliced into fingers
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Vegetable oil, for frying
Creamy country gravy, for dipping
Directions:
Season the thinly sliced beef sirloin steak fingers with salt and pepper on both sides.
Set up a breading station: Place the all-purpose flour in a shallow dish. In another shallow dish, whisk together the eggs and milk. In a third shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Dredge each steak finger in the flour, shaking off any excess. Dip it into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
Carefully add the breaded steak fingers to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the skillet. Fry for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
Transfer the fried steak fingers to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Serve the chicken fried steak fingers hot with creamy country gravy for dipping.
