Nun's Puffs
Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup milk
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
4 large eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or lightly grease each cup.
In a medium saucepan, combine butter and milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
Once the butter melts and the mixture is boiling, add the flour and salt all at once. Stir vigorously until a dough forms and pulls away from the sides of the pan.
Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
Beat in eggs, one at a time, ensuring each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next. Stir in vanilla and sugar.
Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
Cool slightly and serve warm, optionally dusted with powdered sugar or drizzled with honey.
