"I call this my 'famous' lasagna because every time I make it, it becomes someone's favorite lasagna.
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
1 (15 oz) container ricotta cheese
1 egg
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
12 cooked lasagna noodles
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp dried basil
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic over medium heat. Cook until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain excess fat if needed.
Stir in the marinara sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for 5-10 minutes to blend the flavors.
In a separate bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, and 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese. Mix well.
In a 9x13-inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce. Layer with 4 cooked lasagna noodles, followed by 1/3 of the ricotta mixture, 1/3 of the meat sauce, and 1/3 of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layering process two more times.
Finish by topping with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
Let the lasagna cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
