Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cups peeled and chopped apples (about 4 medium apples)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.

3. Press about two-thirds of the crumb mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
4. In another bowl, toss the chopped apples with granulated sugar and lemon juice. Spread the apple mixture evenly over the crust layer.
5. Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the apples, covering them as much as possible.
6. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.
7. Let the bars cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
