Creamy Chicken Tuscan Sausage and Penne Bake Parcels
Ingredients:
- 300 grams of penne pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 250 grams of chicken sausage, sliced
- 1 cup of cherry tomatoes, halved
- 2 cups of spinach leaves
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated cheese (mozzarella or parmesan) for topping
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned.
4. Add the cherry tomatoes and spinach to the skillet. Sauté until the spinach wilts and the tomatoes are soft.
5. Stir in the heavy cream, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is well combined.
6. In a large bowl, mix the cooked penne pasta with the creamy chicken sausage mixture until well coated.
7. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
8. Top with grated cheese and bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
9. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes:
- Feel free to add other vegetables, like bell peppers or zucchini, for extra nutrition.
- You can use whole wheat penne for a healthier option.
