🍖 Grilled BBQ Party Ribs 🔥
🌟 Smoky and Sticky
🛒 Ingredients (Serves 4-6)
For the Ribs:
2 racks of pork spare ribs (about 3-4 lbs)
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp ground cumin
Salt & black pepper, to taste
For the BBQ Sauce:
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
Salt & black pepper, to taste
For Garnish:
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
🔪 Prep the Ingredients
Season the Ribs:
Pat the ribs dry with paper towels. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for tenderness. Rub the ribs with olive oil, then coat with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Let them sit for 20 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Make the BBQ Sauce:
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, honey, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, cayenne (if using), salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Set aside.
🔥 Grill the Ribs:
Preheat your grill to medium-low heat (about 300°F / 150°C) for indirect grilling.
Place the ribs on the grill, bone-side down, away from direct heat. Close the lid and cook for 1.5-2 hours, turning every 30 minutes, until the meat is tender and starts to pull away from the bone.
Brush the ribs with the BBQ sauce on both sides. Move them over direct heat and grill for 3-5 minutes per side to caramelize the sauce, watching closely to avoid burning.
🍴 Serve It Like This:
Transfer the ribs to a large skillet or platter for a rustic presentation.
Brush with extra BBQ sauce if desired and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
Serve with classic BBQ sides like coleslaw, baked beans, or cornbread 🌽🥗
🔥 Pro Tips:
For extra smokiness, add a handful of wood chips (like hickory or applewood) to your grill.
Let the ribs rest for 5 minutes before cutting to lock in the juices.
