🍝 French Onion Beef and Noodles
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 large onion, thinly sliced
2 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 packet French onion soup mix
1 1/2 cups beef broth
1/2 cup sour cream
2 cups egg noodles, cooked and drained
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
1️⃣ Cook the Ground Beef:
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat.
Add ground beef and cook, breaking it apart, until browned and cooked through.
Drain any excess fat and set the beef aside.
2️⃣ Sauté the Onions and Garlic:
In the same skillet, heat the remaining olive oil.
Add sliced onions and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until softened and caramelized, about 10–12 minutes.
Add minced garlic and cook for another 1 minute.
3️⃣ Add the Broth and Soup Mix:
Stir in the French onion soup mix and beef broth.
Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5–7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
4️⃣ Combine the Beef and Noodles:
Add the cooked ground beef back into the skillet.
Stir in the cooked egg noodles and sour cream. Mix well to combine and heat through.
5️⃣ Top with Cheese:
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the mixture and let it melt for a few minutes.
6️⃣ Serve:
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
