FILET MIGNON & CREAMY CAJUN SHRIMP _ Bold, rich, and restaurant-worthy at home!
Ingredients:
For the Filet Mignon:
2 filet mignon steaks (1 ½ inches thick)
Salt and cracked black pepper, to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, smashed
1 sprig thyme or rosemary
For the Cajun Shrimp:
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp Cajun seasoning
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Salt, to taste
For the Creamy Cajun Sauce:
2 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Cajun seasoning
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
1️⃣ Cook the Steaks:
Pat steaks dry and season with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet on high. Sear each side 3–4 minutes. Add butter, garlic, and thyme, and baste until cooked to desired doneness. Let rest.
2️⃣ Sauté the Shrimp:
Toss shrimp with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, and salt. In a separate skillet, cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until opaque. Set aside.
3️⃣ Make the Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt butter. Sauté garlic 1 minute, add Cajun seasoning, then stir in cream and Parmesan. Simmer 3–4 minutes until thickened.
4️⃣ Assemble the Dish:
Plate the steak, top with shrimp, and spoon creamy Cajun sauce generously over everything.
5️⃣ Garnish & Serve:
Sprinkle with chopped parsley or chives. Serve hot with mashed potatoes or grilled vegetables.
