A simple recipe for Cream Loaf Cake with Glaze

Ingredients:

For the Cake:

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 ½ teaspoons baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

3 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ cup heavy cream

¼ cup milk

For the Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan (9x5 inches) or line it with parchment paper.

2. Prepare the cake batter:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Alternate adding the dry ingredients and the cream and milk to the wet mixture, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

3. Bake the cake:
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

4. Make the glaze:
While the cake is cooling, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth.

5. Glaze the cake:
Once the cake has cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top. Let the glaze set before slicing and serving.
