Ingredients
• 1 tart crust (homemade or store-bought)
• ½ cup (120g) onions, thinly sliced
• 8 anchovy fillets
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• ¼ cup (40g) black olives, pitted & halved
• 1 tsp fresh thyme
• Salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat & Prepare the Tart Crust:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the tart crust and place in a tart pan, trimming any excess. Prick the base with a fork and set aside.
2️⃣ Caramelize the Onions:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté the onions for 15-20 minutes until golden and soft. Season with salt & pepper.
3️⃣ Assemble the Tart:
Spread the caramelized onions evenly over the tart crust. Arrange the anchovies in a crisscross pattern and place black olives in the center of each diamond shape. Sprinkle with fresh thyme.
4️⃣ Bake to Perfection:
Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and crisp.
5️⃣ Let Cool & Serve:
Let cool slightly before slicing.
