🍍 Pineapple Cowboy Candy 🍍
Sweet, spicy, and tangy – this candy will become your new favorite treat! 🌶️✨
🔸 Ingredients:
✔️ 4 cups diced pineapple 🍍
✔️ 2 cups granulated sugar 🍚
✔️ 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar 🍏
✔️ 1 teaspoon ground turmeric 🌿
✔️ 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper 🌶️
✔️ 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 🌱
✔️ Pinch of salt 🧂
🔸 Directions:
1️⃣ Combine the diced pineapple, sugar, apple cider vinegar, turmeric, cayenne pepper, ginger, and salt in a large saucepan. Stir everything to mix evenly. 🍍🍚🍏
2️⃣ Place the saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a boil. Stir constantly to avoid burning. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low. 🔥
3️⃣ Let the mixture simmer on low heat for about 45-60 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens and becomes syrupy. ⏳
4️⃣ Remove from heat and cool slightly. ❄️
5️⃣ Using a slotted spoon, transfer the candied pineapple pieces to a wire rack to cool and dry. 🍍
