Crispy Cottage Cheese Chips
Ingredients:
1 cup cottage cheese (preferably low-fat)
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried herbs (such as oregano or Italian seasoning)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Cooking spray or olive oil (for greasing)
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven: Set the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Mix the Ingredients: In a medium bowl, combine cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, dried herbs, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
Form the Chips: Using a spoon or small scoop, drop small mounds of the mixture onto the baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Flatten each mound slightly with the back of the spoon.
Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy. Watch closely in the last few minutes to prevent burning.
Cool and Serve: Let the chips cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely for extra crispiness.
Enjoy: Serve on their own or with your favorite dip, such as guacamole, Greek yogurt dip, or salsa.
Notes:
Drain the cottage cheese slightly if it's too wet to help the chips crisp up better.
Experiment with different cheeses like cheddar or mozzarella for a variety of flavors.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 1–2 days. Re-crisp in a 300°F (150°C) oven for 5–7 minutes if needed.
