🍪 Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Twists 🌟
Ingredients
2¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon fine salt
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
¾ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup packed light brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1½ cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Prep: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
Cream butter and sugars: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).
Add wet ingredients: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla until fully incorporated.
Combine: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring on low speed or by hand just until no flour streaks remain. Avoid overmixing to keep the texture tender.
Fold in chocolate: Gently stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed. The dough should be soft and slightly tacky but hold together well.
Shape twists: Divide the dough into 12 equal portions. Roll each into a 6-inch rope, then twist gently and place on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly press down to help them hold shape during baking.
Bake: Place in the preheated oven and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers look just set.
Cool: Let the twists rest on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely—or enjoy warm for that fresh-from-the-oven melt.
