Butter Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
4. Gradually add the all-purpose flour, mixing until the dough comes together and is smooth.
5. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
6. Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass or your hand.
7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
8. Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Tips:
