Ingredients:
- 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1½ teaspoons baking powder
- 1½ teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 jar caramel sauce (12.25 oz)
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
- Chocolate sauce for garnish
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
2. In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. In another bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, brewed coffee, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.
4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until smooth and fully incorporated.
5. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
6. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
7. Once cooled, place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread a generous layer of caramel sauce over the top.
8. Place the second cake layer on top and pour the sweetened condensed milk over it evenly.
9. Drizzle with chocolate sauce for garnish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.
