🍰 Cassata Siciliana (Sicilian Ricotta Cake)
You Will Need:
500 g (2 cups) ricotta cheese
150 g (¾ cup) sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
100 g (¾ cup) candied fruit, chopped
1 sponge cake (or ladyfingers)
100 ml (⅓ cup) liqueur or juice for soaking
Instructions:
🍶 Mix ricotta, sugar, and vanilla until creamy.
🍊 Fold in candied fruit.
🍰 Line a dish with sponge cake soaked in liqueur.
🧁 Spread ricotta mixture, layer more cake, and chill 4 hours.
🎉 Decorate with more candied fruit before serving.
