Savory Beef and Creamy Garlic Butter Spaghetti
Ingredients:
1 pound spaghetti
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound ground beef
1 medium yellow onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
1/2 cup beef broth
4 tablespoons butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Directions:
1. Cook the spaghetti: Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Brown the beef: While the spaghetti is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
3. Sauté aromatics: Add chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
4. Season and simmer: Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add tomato sauce and beef broth. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook for 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
5. Make the garlic butter sauce: In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic!
6. Combine the sauce: Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
7. Combine everything: Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet with the beef sauce. Toss to coat. Pour the garlic butter sauce over the spaghetti and beef. Toss again to combine.
8. Serve: Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
