Ultimate Bacon Double Cheeseburger with Special Sauce 🍔🥓🧀
Ingredients:
For the burger patties:
1 lb ground beef (80/20)
Salt and pepper to taste
4 slices cheddar cheese
6 slices crispy bacon
For the special sauce:
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 teaspoon mustard
1 tablespoon pickle relish
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
For assembly:
2 sesame seed burger buns
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon butter (for toasting buns)
Instructions:
1️⃣ Cook the bacon:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels and set aside.
2️⃣ Prepare the burger sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle relish, garlic powder, and smoked paprika until well combined. Set aside.
3️⃣ Shape and cook the burger patties:
Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape into thin patties. Season both sides of each patty with salt and pepper. In a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat, cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and let it melt. Stack two patties together to make a double patty for each burger.
4️⃣ Toast the buns:
Spread butter on the inside of the burger buns and toast them in the skillet until golden brown.
5️⃣ Assemble the burger:
Spread a layer of the special sauce on the bottom bun. Add one double-stacked cheeseburger patty, followed by 3 slices of crispy bacon. Add a little more special sauce if you like, then top with the toasted bun.
6️⃣ Serve:
Enjoy your indulgent bacon double cheeseburger with fries, onion rings, or your favorite side dish!
Notes:
For extra flavor, add caramelized onions or pickles to the burger.
You can substitute cheddar with your favorite cheese, like American, Swiss, or pepper jack.
