Protein-Rich Chickpea & Lentil Sausage with Bold Spices ππ§
Ingredients:
1 cup (200g) cooked lentils
1/2 cup (100g) canned chickpeas, drained and mashed
1/4 cup (30g) breadcrumbs
1/4 cup (30g) chickpea flour
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
Directions:
1. In a bowl, mash lentils and chickpeas together until combined but slightly chunky.
2. Add breadcrumbs, chickpea flour, tomato paste, soy sauce, olive oil, and spices. Mix well.
3. Divide into portions and shape into sausage-like logs.
4. Heat a non-stick pan with a little oil and cook sausages for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
5. Serve hot with mustard, ketchup, or in a bun.
