Apple Pie Biscuits😋👇
✅ Ingredients
Buttermilk Biscuits: Use one can of buttermilk biscuits as the base.
Apple Pie Filling: One can, chopped into smaller pieces.
Butter: 1/2 cup melted, to coat the biscuits.
Brown Sugar: 1/2 cup, mixed with spices.
Cinnamon: 1 tablespoon, for warmth and depth of flavor.
Nutmeg: 1/8 teaspoon, for a hint of spiciness.
Vanilla Extract: 1 teaspoon, mixed into the apple pie filling.
Icing: Made with 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar and 1 tablespoon milk.
🟢 Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a pan or skillet to prevent sticking.
2. In a medium bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
3. Dip each biscuit into the melted butter, coat well, then roll in the sugar mixture. Place the coated biscuits in the prepared pan, leaving space between them.
4. Chop the apple pie filling into smaller pieces. Stir in the vanilla extract, then spoon the filling over the biscuits. Sprinkle any remaining sugar mixture and drizzle the rest of the melted butter over the top.
5. Bake for about 35 minutes until golden brown. The apples should be tender, and the sugar caramelized.
6. Prepare the icing by mixing the confectioners' sugar and milk. Drizzle it over the warm biscuits when they come out of the oven.
