One-Pan Creamy Buttered Noodles with Tender Chicken
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
3 garlic cloves, minced
3 tbsp butter
8 oz egg noodles
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Directions:
Warm the olive oil in a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Pat the chicken breasts dry and season both sides generously with salt and pepper. Place them in the skillet and cook until nicely browned and cooked about halfway through. roughly 4 to 5 minutes per side. Once golden, transfer them to a plate and set aside.
Without wiping the skillet clean, reduce the heat slightly and add the butter. Once melted and bubbling, stir in the minced garlic. Let it sizzle for about 30 seconds to release its aroma.
Add the uncooked egg noodles directly to the skillet, spreading them out evenly. Pour in the chicken broth and gently stir. Bring to a soft boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cover with a lid and cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring once or twice, until the noodles are soft and most of the liquid is absorbed.
Once the noodles are tender, stir in the heavy cream and sprinkle in the Parmesan cheese. Stir continuously until the sauce turns smooth and silky.
Nestle the seared chicken breasts back into the skillet, allowing them to soak in the sauce. Let everything simmer together for about 5 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce has slightly thickened.
Sprinkle with chopped parsley for a pop of color and freshness. Serve hot and enjoy your one-pan comfort meal!
