I don’t remember who posted the cornbread recipe where you start it in a cold pan, but I used that recipe last night and it is the best cornbread I’ve ever made!
Edited to add recipe:
. Grease you a cast iron pan with Crisco. Preheat your oven to 425, but DO NOT Heat the pan. Mix together two parts cornmeal mix (I like Martha White) and two parts buttermilk. Pour into the pan and cook till brown.
