So, tonight we went to Cracker Barrel and before I started my journey I would’ve ordered, a Chicken Fried Steak for 600 calories, the Macaroni and Cheese for 270, the Corn for 180. I would’ve probably eaten all the biscuits for 320 and a Stewart’s Root Beer for 210 which brought my calorie total to 1,580.
Tonight, I traded the Chicken Fried Steak in for the delicious Grilled Chicken Tenders for 270 calories, I still had the macaroni and cheese for 270, I traded the corn in for carrots which were 90 calories. I also had 1 biscuit with no butter for 160 calories and a Coke Zero 0 calories. I also had a house salad without dressing or baby tomatoes which was 240 bringing the total to 1,030 which isn’t the best BUT it is 550 calories less!! Simple swaps to get what you want!!
My boyfriend and I also stopped at Dairy Queen when I would’ve gotten any kind of Large blizzard. Tonight, I got a small dish of vanilla ice cream (210)
A little splurge tonight but I’m still in a calorie deficit by 116 calories which is ok!! I know tomorrow morning, when I weight myself the scale might go up because of water retention from our date night but I at least I will know it is NOT because I gained weight!
This is how I mend my relationship with food and learn you can have everything you want but in moderation!
