Donut Grilled Cheese with Bacon Maple
Ingredients:
2 glazed donuts, sliced in half
4 slices of sharp cheddar cheese
4 slices of cooked bacon, chopped
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 tablespoon butter
Salt and pepper to taste
1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
2. Spread butter on the outer sides of each donut half.
3. Place one donut half, buttered side down, in the skillet.
4. Layer 2 slices of cheddar cheese on top of the donut half.
5. Sprinkle the chopped bacon evenly over the cheese.
6. Add the remaining 2 slices of cheddar cheese on top of the bacon.
7. Top with the other donut half, buttered side up.
8. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown and the cheese begins to melt.
9. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the other side is golden and the cheese is fully melted.
10. Drizzle maple syrup over the top before serving and season with salt and pepper to taste.
