BEEF STRIPS IN CREAMY GARLIC CAJUN SAUCE OVER PENNE
Ingredients:
1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, cut into strips
12 oz penne pasta
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup beef broth
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tbsp cream cheese (for extra creaminess)
1 tbsp butter
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add penne pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Cook the Beef Strips: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the beef strips with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Add beef to the skillet in a single layer and sear for 2–3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Remove beef from skillet and set aside.
3. Make the Creamy Garlic Cajun Sauce:
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in beef broth and simmer for 2 minutes to reduce slightly.
Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, and cream cheese. Let it simmer for 3–4 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce becomes thick, creamy, and cheesy.
4. Combine Pasta and Beef: Add the cooked penne pasta to the creamy Cajun sauce and toss to coat evenly. Return the beef strips to the skillet and stir everything to combine. Let everything simmer together for 1–2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
5. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and additional Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately and enjoy the indulgent, creamy, spicy beef and pasta dish!
