My mother made this cupa cupa cupa cobbler all the time when I was growing up!
Ingredients:

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup sugar

1 cup milk

1 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1 stick (1/2 cup) butter

2 cups fresh or canned peaches (with juice)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Put the butter in a 9x9-inch baking dish and place it in the oven to melt.

In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Stir in the milk until smooth.

Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish—don’t stir!

Spoon the peaches (with juice) evenly over the batter—again, don’t stir!

Bake for 40–45 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
