Easy Homemade Wonton Soup

Ingredients:
1 package of wonton wrappers
1 pound ground chicken or shrimp
2 green onions, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ginger, grated
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
4 cups chicken broth
2 cups water
1 cup bok choy, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional toppings: sliced green onions, cilantro, chili oil

Directions:
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken or shrimp, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Take a wonton wrapper and place about a teaspoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water, fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle, and press to seal. Then, bring the two corners of the triangle together and pinch to secure. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

In a large pot, bring the chicken broth and water to a boil. Add the wontons gently into the boiling broth and cook for about 5-7 minutes or until they float to the surface and are cooked through.

Add the chopped bok choy to the pot and let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes until wilted.

Serve the soup hot, garnished with sliced green onions, cilantro, and a drizzle of chili oil if desired.
