Mounds Brownies
Ingredients:
- 1 brownie mix (9x13 size), prepared and baked according to box directions
- 5 cups shredded coconut
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven according to brownie mix instructions and prepare the brownie batter as directed on the box.
2. Pour the brownie batter into a 9x13 inch baking pan and bake as directed.
3. While the brownies are baking, combine the shredded coconut and sweetened condensed milk in a bowl, mixing thoroughly to create a sticky, coconut filling.
4. Once the brownies are done, remove from oven and immediately spread the coconut mixture evenly over the warm brownies.
5. Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until the coconut topping is golden brown.
6. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
