Easy Sautéed Lentils Served with Hummus and Chili Oil Drizzle ✨🌱

ingredients:
One 15-ounce can (425g) brown or green lentils, rinsed and drained
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and black pepper to taste
1/4 cup (60g) store-bought or homemade hummus
1 tablespoon chili oil (adjust to spice preference)
Fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped, for garnish

directions:
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the rinsed and drained lentils to the skillet.
Stir in the cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
Sauté the lentils for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are heated through and slightly browned in places.
To assemble the bowl, place the sautéed lentils in a shallow bowl.
Add a generous dollop or swirl of hummus to the side of the lentils.
Drizzle the chili oil generously over the lentils and hummus.
Garnish with fresh chopped cilantro or parsley.
