My mother made this cake often. My earliest memory of it was in the early sixties. It is so delicious. If you make hope you enjoy it. I use a 13x9 pan. Many have asked if you drain the fruit cocktail and the answer is no. Also making it without out coconut should be just as delicious. I use butter in place of oleo margarine.
