Does anybody else still make this? Ground burger with gravy over mashed potatoes for dinner tonight. I can remember my mom making this. I start by caramelizing onions, set them aside when done. I sauté the burger, drain the grease, add the onion back in and saute a few more minutes. In a two cup measuring cup I add 4 beef bouillon cubes, some Worchester sauce, 1/4 cup red wine or cooking wine, a table Worcestershire sauce, a few table spoons of corn starch to thicken, I then pour this and another cup of water over the ground beef and simmer until thickened.
